Isaac loves going to school. He still talks about the one on the Island and remembers things from there that happened when he was just 2 years old. We chose his new school because of its proximity to our house and that he will be learning Mandarin. All the rest of it...the ABC's, 123's, etc are normal, but if we can't give our kids America, then by golly I want them to learn another language! The language we know is the national language here, but it's not very useful outside of the country. Mandarin is useful and especially in the next 20 years or so, will become even more so. We figure if our kids can speak English and Mandarin then they'll be able to speak to over half the world! And it's best to do it while they're young! Though its already been interesting the one day his homework was in his Mandarin workbook. We got a Mandarin App on our iPad and found the character he was learning then played the word for him to repeat as he drew the character. Maybe we'll come out of this learning a little Chinese ourselves?
It's taken us a few months to find a good place to send our kids to preschool. We are very close to Singapore and so while that makes the quality of the preschools available higher, the cost of them is also higher... Singaporeans are rich and we are not! HA!

That and he JUST learned to go potty and still doesn't speak very clearly. We plan to give this place a few months and see how it goes! |

| ...though we aren't sure yet how good a fit the school will be, they DID send home a box of mandarin oranges for Chinese New Year to every family. That's an auspicious start for sure! :) |

His preschool sounds more Chinese than Eden's! ha! They're preschools, I'm fairly confident, are night and day different. But, in then end, maybe they'll be speaking Chinese vows to one another. :)
